(SEND) Essential Skills, Maths Entry Level 1

Location: Blended Learning - Pollards Hill Library

Days: Wednesdays & Fridays

Time: 10:00 to 15:00

Duration: 6 Weeks

This course is designed for SEND learners to get basic Maths skills.

The course provides learners with Entry level Maths skills to improve their life in the UK and employment possibilities.

By the end of the course, you will feel more prepared and confident using simple Maths skills in daily living.

(SEND) Essential Skills, English Entry Level

04th November 2026 - 09th December 2026

06th November 2026 - 11th December 2026

Location: Blended learning - Pollards Hill Library

Days: Wednesdays & Friday

Time: 09:30 to 15:00

Duration: 6 Weeks

This course is designed for SEND learners to get basic English skills.

The course provides learners with Entry level English skills to improve their life in the UK and employment possibilities.

By the end of the course, you will feel more prepared and confident using simple English skills in daily living.

Level 3, AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping

04th November 2026 - 28th April 2027

Location: Blended learning, face to face and Zoom Online

Days: Wednesdays

Time: 09:30 to 15:00

Duration: 22 Weeks

This course ensures that students have the advanced bookkeeping skills necessary to work in a bookkeeping role or to progress to higher level accountancy.

This course helps you to develop the skills needed for financial processes including accounting principles and concepts, advanced bookkeeping and preparing financial statements.

By the end of the course, you will also understand business issues regarding payroll and value added tax (VAT). .

This qualification can lead you to work as a Profesional Bookkeeper; a Senior Bookkeeper; an Accounts Manager or a Ledger Manager

ESOL skills for life, Entry Level 1, 2, 3

17th September 2026 - 28th January 2027

Location: In-Person - SMCA, Mitcham, CR4 3PR

Days: Thursday

Time: 09:30 to 15:00

Duration: 17 Weeks

This course is designed for adult learners whose native language is not English and who live in the UK.

The course provides learners with reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to prepare for life in the UK and employment.

This course is ideal for learners who have different language needs arising from their diverse language, educational and professional/employment backgrounds

By the end, you would have advanced in your ability to communicate in English and gained confidence towards gaining employment in UK.

At the end of the course, learners will have the opportunity to progress to either:

  • Further education and learning
  • Apprenticeships
  • Employment
  • Self-Employment
